That's the verdict from Colin Nicholl, Head of Planning at the distribution network operator (DNO), who spoke to future Net Zero Founder Sumit Bose about the role the organisation aims to play on the country's journey towards decarbonisation by 2050.
He noted it would play a key role in facilitating the decarbonisation of transport by enabling electric vehicles (EVs) to be adopted onto the network and use its distribution future energy scenarios to work closely with local authorities on their climate emergency plans.
