Today was youth and pubic empowerment day - so the young people took to the streets actually they didn't, some did to listen to Greta but there were a lot of oldies in the crowd.
However we went off the beaten track to a fringe event where it was just young people, international scouts in fact and they told me what they want from the businesses of today to secure the future of tomorrow.

Today was energy day at COP26 and we had a lot about killing off coal but there was lots more too. Sumit Bose was walking through the ‘action zone’ when who decided to offer a talk to us all, none other than Al Gore the former US Vice President and his message around net zero was actually quite positive!
Sumit then spoke to two energy sector advocates that are vital for the transition – nuclear and … hydropower and the day ended with a powerful statement from a delegate from Tanzania who bascially said for COP26 to work, rich nations need to cough up!

What an interesting day indeed. This day three of CO26 has Sumit Bose with a new pair of echo shoes! Dimitris our reporter got caught up in the XR protests to mark finance day and Sumit Bose met the head of the biggest mobile organisation who said 5G will speed up net zero!
Oh and it did end with a meeting with representatives of two Amazonian rain forest tribes!
